      Hi Shelley
I was hoping to create ‘Greg’ using 3 colours. The Main squares in Teal and/or Blue and then joining them with White to co-ordinate with the quilt on my bed. Do you think this will work? As Tom has 9 squares I thought I would do 4 of one colour and 5 of the other. Then alternate the numbers when I get to ‘Joe’.
I have just received a delicious package from Bendigo Mills!! Can’t wait to start ‘Tom’!
Thankyou for your help and lovely patterns 🙂
      Cheers, Donna

I decided to use the 3 colours for my blocks and will use another to join them. Works out more even with the numbers that way! I’ve finished Tom and will post a pic when I find the hashtag for Instagram! Thanks for the pattern, I’m enjoying it so far. The Bendigo cotton is so lovely to use!

So excited to start. I made the mistake of taking hubby shopping to BWM for my wool, and during the hour of me making up my mind on colours, he has renamed GREG to Trevor. And now asks me every day if I have started Trevor yet!

    • Shelley Husband

hehe – Greg- Trevor – we can call him ‘mate’ too 😉

    Hi Shelley,

I am having problems with rows 5 and 6. When I get to the last few stitiches I am not sure where to put my hook and the holes on this side are a lot less prominent than the other 3 corners. Is there a video I can watch to see where I am going wrong?
    Speak soon.

Hi Jayne 🙂 The end of Round 5 & the beginning of Round 6 are the bits I was referring to in the post where I link to a video about seamless crochet and a blog post.

Have a look at those and see if they help. If not, head to the Ravelry group or shoot me an email via the contact me and I’ll help you out further 🙂

    Hi Shelley!
My Toms appear to be slightly smaller than my Joe squares, is that correct?

    Reply
    • Shelley Husband

Hi 🙂 My Toms and Joes were the same size, but some folks did find Joe to be a big bigger. If it’s just a small difference, it wont matter with joining 🙂 If it’s a big difference you can replace the last round of dc(US)/tr(UK) with hdc/htr 🙂

Okay, thx for the quick answer!
        It’s a small difference, so just 3 more Joe’s to go ….instead of all 12 🙂

Sick doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now. The thought of unpicking or starting from scratch makes me want to cry. Is there any possibility that the pattern can work with the original instructions?

    Reply
    • Shelley Husband

You can Viv. All that will change is the layout. As the squares are the same size, it’s just the placement that will be different. All the strips are done now as it’s just the big squares to go. If you like, I can send you the layout only with no pictures so you can see what changes you need to make. Let me know and I’ll email it to you if that will help. So sorry 🙁

Yes I would like the layout but happy not to see the big picture. I just cannot unpick all those squares without making a big mess of them. Thanks
